Paid media is only part of the story. Partners in both the public and private sectors have been secured. The Association of Chief Police Officers Scotland Road Policing Standing Committee is using the Foolsspeed publicity to support their enforcement campaigns. Road safety units are actively promoting Foolsspeed and a number of Councils in Scotland are displaying the Foolsspeed logo on their vehicles. Other methods of supporting the campaign include displaying the logo on wheelie bins, on the reverse of Pay & Display parking tickets and on letterheads and publications. The involvement of local authority and police road safety units throughout Scotland has meant that the Foolsspeed logo has been given maximum exposure to the public.
The private sector is also involved in supporting Foolsspeed for example, Tesco and Safeway display the logo on some of their vehicles, as do Transco. Robert Wisemans Dairies displayed the Only Foolsspeed message on their milk cartons in summer 1999, which meant the logo was delivered into homes and businesses throughout Scotland.
