Smart moves

Smart Moves was a multimedia learning resource aimed at pupils in the transition phase between primary and secondary school. The CD-ROM included information, activities and resources which were used by teachers and students for individual learning or group discussions. Accompanying material in the form of Teachers' notes and Students' worksheets was also available. This graphic shows the cover of the Smart Moves CD-ROM.

The CD-ROM followed four main characters through four key times of their day – going to school, lunchtime, home from school and after school.

Throughout Smart Moves, the need for planning, risk assessment, personal safety, decision making, appropriate behaviour and attitudes towards road safety was emphasised, as well as a reinforcement of basic road safety rules and guidelines.
