Safe Drive Stay Alive
This an annual intervention targeted at S6 and further education students and apprentices. Half-day events take place at the MacRobert Arts Centre in Stirling University over three days and centre round a docudrama of a fatal local road traffic collision. Lighting and music is used as a prelude to the intervention in order to stimulate participants prior to the presentation. The docudrama is supported by emotive experience and testimonies from the community safety practitioners, victims and parents of victims. The event is also supported with a series of thematic road safety TV commercials developed by Northern Ireland Department of Environment. An internal evaluation was conducted in 2008.
