Sub-committees
The specific remits of the sub-committees follow directly from the Road Safety Scotland aims and objectives.
Education Sub-committee
- Representative from Scottish Government Education or Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Education.
- Representative from Scottish Government Health or NHS Health Scotland.
- Six elected members.
To advise on strategies to ensure that key Scottish road safety messages are communicated effectively within the Scottish curriculum.
Publicity Sub-committee
- Representative from Scottish Government Communications Directorate.
- Representative from Scottish Government's advertising agency.
- Representative from RoSPA.
- Representative from IRSO.
- Motoring organisation's representative.
- Four elected members.
To advise on themes and content of advertising campaigns and on supporting materials needed to underpin the key road safety messages.
Either the Director or the Assistant Director will be present at the sub-committee meetings to ensure recommendations of the committee are carried out. Executive Committee members may attend sub-committee meetings.
